I made this up on holiday in portugal.
A cetelecene is a marsupial whale.
A male adult cetelecene is 40 meteres long. A female is 38 metres long.
Its young are not palcental animals like other whales and when they are born, they are not ready to leave their mother yet. They have to stay in a pouch for the first 10 months of their lives after which they can swim in and out of it until they are 2 years old. The pouch is located on the mother's head and the whale's blow hole allows lots of oxygen into the pouch which will last the young whale for up to 30 minutes. This allows the mother to dive to depths of up to 100m to search for food. When their is no baby whale the mother can dive to depths of up to 1500m.
The cetelecene is easy to confuse with a sperm whale and this is why they were not discovered until very recently.
